We do a lot of work searching for brands that offer exceptional products that meet our ethical and eco-conscious values. When we find one and reach out to them, we have a vetting process where we consider where/how the product is made, and the benefits it will have on our environment. Once we are happy that there are genuine benefits through the sale and use of these items, we then get stocked up so we can offer them to our customers and pass on their amazing benefits.

With the amount of unnecessary waste and single-use materials going to landfill, or worse, into our environment and oceans every year, we hope to encourage a more sustainable way of living. This can be achieved simply by purchasing items that have been made, and are packaged, in a sustainable way. For example, we try to reduce the amount of plastic in our products and packaging since plastic can take over 500yrs to decompose. Zero waste means a product and its packaging has nothing going to landfill, and can all be recycled or composted. By trying to live zero waste, we are actively choosing products which has nothing going to landfill from its purchase!

We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for all UK deliveries at a cost of £3.65. Once your item has been despatched, you will receive an email from Royal Mail informing you of an order on its way from Mail Shot International – our distribution partner. This email will contain your tracking details so you can see exactly where your order is on its journey from door to door. All orders received before midday will go out for same day dispatch and should be delivered within 2 to 3 days.

Royal Mail operates Monday – Friday, which means all orders received on a weekend (or after midday Friday) will go out for delivery on the Monday.

We offer free delivery on all UK orders over £60 to encourage purchasing more than one product so you can share your favourite items with friends and family.

Yes! We also deliver to Europe for a flat rate charge of £11.98 (including VAT) and the US & Canada for £16.79 (including VAT) with Royal Mail Standard International. We do ask our overseas customers to see whether they are able to find these products (or similar alternatives) that we sell in their home country first, so that we can minimise the amount of air freight we send out and reduce the impact this has on our environment. Please allow 5-7 working days for shipping to Europe.

No problem. Although we do everything to ensure you will love your new products, we do offer a free 14-day money back guarantee, with no fuss. We even pay for the postage to have it returned back to us. All we ask is to return the product in all of its original packaging. Please see our returns policy for more details.

Yes, all of our products are made from natural ingredients, and most of these are organically grown. Our products are always tested on humans and never animals.

Yes, 95% of our products are vegan and vegetarian. We have a handful of products which contain beeswax, and therefore are not suitable for vegans, and this will clearly be noted on the product page description.

Palm oil can be found in a few of Green People’s range of sun care, but this is always responsibly sourced from sustainable forests. Achieving certified organic status means that their growth and production of crops does not have any adverse effect on the environment on either a local or global scale. Their palm oil comes from certified organic sources from the Philippines or Ecuador. No orangutans live here and the plantations are completely sustainable, preserving all native fauna and flora! If any products do contain palm oil, it will be clearly marked so you can decide for yourself whether you are happy with responsibly sourced palm oil in your products.

We use two payment gateways on our store, and they are Square and Paypal. Both use advanced encryption methods to the highest standard to secure all personal details and ensure your data is safe. With all online payment methods, there can always be a risk, but Square and Paypal ensure the maximum protection is always applied.

PROMOTE A POSITIVE MOVEMENT TOWARDS ETHICAL TRADE

From ensuring fair pay and workers rights, to banking with an ethical bank and working with other ethical businesses, we aim to promote and encourage others to do the same. We need to satisfy ourselves that there are measures in place to ensure ethical values are met, and only we can make this decision. We like to gather all the facts and make an informed decision on who we work with, and how we operate our business. Ignorance is not an excuse.

The more businesses that support fair trade and ethical values, the larger our collective voice. Large brands and companies that do not follow an ethical aproach will have to follow suit if consumers stop accepting this. No company can sell a product for next to nothing and claim no workers have been unfairly paid through their manufacturing process. Sweatshops throughout the developing world are a prime example of this, and we simply do not, and will not support this.
